The DLG at a glance

(A) At the macro scale, a similar structure of the visual pathway, with similar feedforward and top-down connections, is found in most mammals, from mice to monkeys to humans. (B) The DLG studies how top-down modulations functionally remap the feedforward processing pathway, to answer specific self-generated questions about the environment. (C) At the meso scale, the DLG models recurrently connected circuits with dendrites, which we model efficiently through reduction state-of-the-art reduction methodologies methodologies, represent a powerful substrate to learn sequences of inputs. (D) At the micro scale, the DLG studies how dendritic inputs input somatic output generation in various learning scenarios.
