Functional Materials and Emergant Phenomena
We research quantum materials with the aim of using them for storing and processing information in the medium or long term.
The Peter Grünberg Institute (PGI) is committed to uncovering and interpreting new phenomena in condensed matter, designing innovative materials and functional structures at the nano- and quantum-scale, and advancing experimental and theoretical techniques. Our research focuses on potential long-term applications in information technology and related fields. A particular emphasis is placed on functional materials and emergent phenomena, quantum computing, and neuromorphic computing.
