About me

Carlos Gonzalez Calaza leads the architecture design and implementation of the user access platform for “Jülich UNified Infrastructure for Quantum computing (JUNIQ)” since 2019. In this role, he has been involved in tasks such as providing cloud access to different quantum computing devices, as well as integrating such devices within the high-performance computing systems at the Jülich Supercomputing Center (JSC).

He currently contributes with his expertise to the EuroHPC JU project HPCQS and the german project QSolid, and has been involved in the past in the OpenSuperQ project. In parallel to this position, he currently pursues a PhD since 2022 in the field of hybrid quantum annealing for industrially-relevant problems in the Quantum Information Processing group at JSC, under supervision of Prof. Dr. Kristel Michielsen.
