Dr. Thomas Eickermann

Thomas is working at Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC) since he finished his PhD in Physics at the University of Düsseldorf in 1994. His activities covered system administration, Grid computing, networking, and IT-security. Since 2002, he is head of the communication systems and services division of JSC. Between 2008 and 2015, Thomas has been project manager of PRACE preparatory and implementation phase projects and served on the PRACE aisbl Board of Directors.  Currently, he is a deputy director of JSC and heavily engaged in the preparations for JUPITER, the EuroHPC Exascale computer in Jülich and the Modular Data Centre that will house it.
