Warum und woran ich forsche

Hydrogen has gained increasing attention as a means of storing energy. One way to produce it is through polymer-electrolyte membrane water electrolysis (PEMWE), which is the subject of numerous research projects. A remaining challenge in the development of PEMWEs is the long-term stability of cell components. To advance research in this area, degradation mechanisms shall be investigated, standard characterization protocols established, and degradation mitigation strategies developed.
