Viola Middendorf

Viola Middendorf accompanies researchers and early career scientists in reflecting and deciding on career options, plan next steps and master challenges. An analytical approach, professional empathy and solution orientation are the guidelines of her counselling approach.

As a trained psychologist with a focus on occupational psychology she has gained experience as a scientist in academic research as well as in different roles in personnel development and personnel selection in different industries (agriculture industry, chemistry and pharma, consulting). After three years as a scientist in academic research at Bonn University and Greifswald University she became a Personnel professional at a large German mobility and transportation company. Personnel selection, Assessment Centers and Coaching were her main areas of focus there. After a subsequent period as a consultant and personnel developer in an organisational consultancy, she joined Forschungszentrum Jülich in 2018 as a career counsellor.

She loves to combine her academic background with her experience and strong connections in industry in the offers for early career researchers.
