Dr. Boris Orth

I’m heading the JSC’s High Performance Computing (HPC) in Life Sciences division, conducting research and development in the areas of modeling, simulation and data analysis in the life sciences, including machine learning methods, and supporting life science communities in the application of these methods, especially on HPC systems.

As co-lead of the Simulation and Data Lab (SDL) Neuroscience I work in collaborative projects with institutes of Forschungszentrum Jülich, university groups and other national and international partners, including EBRAINS 2.0 and EBRAINS PREP, and coordinate EBRAINS Germany, the German National Node of the European EBRAINS Research Infrastructure.
