Terrestrial Biogeochemistry - Soil organic matter dynamics and elemental cycles, contributing to the understanding of the biogeochemical processes of macro- and microelements (e.g., Fe, Mg, Si, K, Sr, Se, As, Cd, etc.) to trace their fates in the terrestrial ecosystems by the means of advanced mass spectrometric techniques.

Research focus

Dynamics of nutrient elements in pristine and anthropogenically affected soil-plant systems, current status as well as under the conditions of climate changes and in extreme events, including analytical technique development; fate of heavy metals and contamination mitigation in (agricultural) soils and plants
