Transportation

During the conference the transport to Forschungszentrum Jülich will be provided by complementary shuttle buses. The two marked points in the map above (Main Railway Station, Novotel Hotel) near the recommended hotels will be the only stops where the bus shuttles will pick you up at 8 am on each day to the venue at Forschungszentrum Jülich.

Venue

For its tenth edition, TGF will return to the location of the very first conference held in 1995 at Forschungszentrum Jülich in Germany.

With more than 4500 employees, the research centre in Jülich is a member of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres and is one of the largest research centres in Europe. With its competence in materials science and simulation and its expertise in physics, nanotechnology and information technology and also in the energy, biosciences, and brain research, Jülich is developing a basis for the key technologies of tomorrow. The distance between the recommended hotels and Forschungszentrum Jülich is about 35 km and will be tide over by complementary shuttel busses. For information about getting to the venue on your own please visit "How to get here".

Accommodation

Blocks of rooms have been reserved for TGF '13 participants at several hotels in Aachen city at reduced conference rates. The hotel rooms will be held until 01 September 2013.

You will be accommodated in the historical city of Aachen. The place of coronation of German kings, Aachen in its more than a thousand years witnessed the most inspiring and dramatic moments of the European history. Located direct at the boundary of Germany with the Netherlands and Belgium, the city flourishes the unique mixture of various cultures in the heart of Europe. At the heart of the City lies the Aachen Dom (Cathedral). In 1978 this was the first German building to be included in the Unesco list of World Heritage Sites. The Dom is proud to house the most precious treasures north of the Alps. These can be seen in the Cathedral Treasury. Not far from the Cathedral is the Gothic Town Hall. Its facade is richly decorated with countless figures that remind people of the German coronations that took place in Aachen.

the required information of the online registration form.
