In co-operation with RWTH Aachen University, the ER-C houses two electron microscopy facilities which focus on different scientific areas that can be examined using this fascinating technique.
Expertise
The Ernst Ruska-Centre combines cutting-edge electron microscopy and spectroscopy with deep expertise in instrumentation, methodology and scientific applications. From atoms and interfaces to complex materials and biological structures, we develop and apply advanced techniques to answer questions that cannot be addressed by conventional approaches — pushing the boundaries of what electron microscopy can reveal, measure and understand.
