A collaboration event provided by the Ernst Ruska-Centre together with Gatan Ametek.

This comprehensive course is designed to help you better understand the science and technique of electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS) and to take you from basics to advanced applications.
At the Ernst Ruska-Centre for Microscopy and Spectroscopy with Electrons (ER-C), we are excited to welcome you to our facilities in Germany for this hands-on course.
In collaboration with Gatan, this event offers a unique opportunity to actively engage with peers and instructors in a classroom setting, learning best practices for setting up and optimizing your electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS) studies. Our laboratories are fully equipped with a GIF Continuum® energy filter to support your training.
Topics include:
- Introduction to EELS
- GIF, EELS, and STEM-EELS acquisition
- EELS quantification and analysis
- 4D STEM acquisition and analysis
- STEM EELS acquisition and optimization
- Advanced EELS techniques
