Joschka and his team played a key role in designing and developing AgraSim – the “Plant Time Machine". Developed in close collaboration with scientists from the IBG-3 Agrosphere Institute, AgraSim is a unique research infrastructure that simulates future climate conditions for crops such as wheat, maize, and rapeseed. Its ultramodern plant chambers allow for a precise control of key environmental factors, while integrated soil analyses enable detailed studies of plant-soil-atmosphere interactions, thus helping improve climate models and supporting a resilient agriculture.
