Materials Science and Simulation Ontologies
A key challenge in applying data-driven approaches to materials science is the scarcity of high-quality, interoperable data. Our group addresses this by developing ontologies for materials science and simulation methods, along with software and workflows that leverage semantic technologies. These tools enable domain scientists to annotate and structure data effectively, providing a means to embed physical concepts directly into the data. Our ultimate goal is to build reasoning and decision-making systems that guide research priorities, streamline tasks, and accelerate the discovery of trends in materials research data.
