Scientific Technology and Engineering
About
The research group Scientific Technology and Engineering consists of the world's leading experts in the field of scientific engineering, developing innovative research devices, instruments and equipment in the form of prototypes and demonstration facilities. The group develops innovative, non-purchasable scientific devices, instruments and equipment to enable new research methods and techniques. Bridging disciplines and technologies, the research group contributes to the improvement of analytical and characterisation instrumentation for TEMs and MRTs by developing, designing and building hardware components beyond the state of the art. This includes novel vacuum setups, sample lock and sample systems such as the sample holder in an adjustable 3D magnetic field. This includes automation, metrology, certification and development of new technologies as required.
