Warum und woran ich forsche
Jens Artz studied chemistry at RWTH Aachen University (2006-2011) and started developing catalyst systems for various applications since his M.Sc. (2011) and Ph.D. (2011-2015) in the Institute for Technical and Macromolecular Chemistry (ITMC). After working as a group leader at the Chair of Heterogeneous Catalysis and Technical Chemistry as well as a project manager for the Center for Molecular Transformation (CMT) of the RWTH Aachen (2015-2019), he became a research associate in the Energy and Climate Department of the Research and Project Coordination Division at DECHEMA Gesellschaft für Chemische Technik und Biotechnologie e.V.. As Senior Advisor for E-Fuels & E-Chemicals, he was involved in various national and international research and flagship projects focusing on hydrogen and power-to-X solutions. Since 2025 he has been Teamleader for Catalyst shaping & Scale-Up in the section ‘Catalyst materials’ (INW-2) of the Institute for Sustainable Hydrogen Economy (INW).
