About me
Florian Hausen is Professor for Applied Interface Electrochemistry at RWTH Aachen University and leads the scanning probe microscopy focused group at IET-1, Forschungszentrum Jülich. He studied Chemistry at the University of Bonn and obtained a PhD in Physics from Saarland University, both working on electrochemical effects in nanoscale tribology. After a postdoc stay at the University of Oxford where he investigated the interfacial structure of ionic liquids, he joined the IEK-9, now IET-1, as Juniorprofessor. His current research interests include in-situ/operando scanning probe techniques to study processes at interfaces and interphases in energy materials, correlative microscopy and spectroscopy as well as mechanical properties and tribology under electrochemical load.
