Judith Reinwarth

Am Institut für Bio- und Geowissenschaften, Bereich Pflanzenwissenschaften (IBG-2) am Forschungszentrum Jülich arbeite ich in der Arbeitsgruppe Alternative Biomasse (ABB) an der Entwicklung nachhaltiger Nutzungskonzepte für pflanzliche Rohstoffe. Mein Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Prozessierung und analytischen Charakterisierung alternativer Biomassen. Ziel ist es, biogene Ressourcen effizient und umweltschonend nutzbar zu machen – als Grundlage für neue Wertschöpfungsketten in der Bioökonomie. Durch die Kombination technologischer Verfahren und analytischer Methoden trage ich dazu bei, pflanzliche Ausgangsstoffe hinsichtlich Qualität, Zusammensetzung und Verwertbarkeit umfassend zu bewerten und zu optimieren.

At the Institute of Bio- and Geosciences, Plant Sciences (IBG-2) at Forschungszentrum Jülich, I work in the Alternative Biomass (ABB) research group, focusing on the development of sustainable concepts for the utilization of plant-based raw materials. My research centers on the processing and analytical characterization of alternative biomass sources. The aim is to make biogenic resources usable in an efficient and environmentally friendly way—forming the basis for new value chains in the bioeconomy. By integrating technological processes with analytical methods, I contribute to the comprehensive assessment and optimization of plant feedstocks in terms of quality, composition, and usability.
