About me
Dr. Anna Windmueller received her Ph.D. in 2019 from the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen, Germany, specializing in the synthesis and analysis of active materials for Li-ion and solid-state batteries. Before that, she was educated in mineralogy and crystallography at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. In 2021, she joined IET-1 to focus on post-Li-ion battery technologies, a field she further developed as a visiting scientist at the National University of Science and Technology through an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship and a National Science and Technology Council Grant in 2023/24. Currently, Dr. Windmueller is involved in various Li- and Na-based battery projects, emphasizing next-generation materials and cell development. Her research interests center on creating sustainable active materials for Li- and Na-batteries, with a strong focus on understanding the structure-property relationships that underpin their performance.
