Dr Willem Wybo

As group leader of the Dendritic Learning Group (DLG), Willem Wybo’s research focuses on understanding how the biophysical machinery in individual neurons can be leveraged by the learning algorithm of the brain. On the one hand, we build machine learning models inspired by the biophysical features of neurons, to probe high-level learning principles, while on the other, we develop simulation technologies to implement these learning principles in biophysically realistic networks at scale.
