The aim of the AltCell project "Alternative cellulose feedstocks for man-made cellulose fibers" under the leadership of the Institute of Textile Technology at RWTH Aachen University is to demonstrate experimentally for the first time the complete process chain from the regionally and supra-regionally existing residual materials via digestion with the holistic OrganoCat process to the spun cellulose fiber and to evaluate it with a focus on sustainability and initial economic estimates.
