The Ernst Ruska-Centre (ER-C) for Microscopy and Spectroscopy with Electrons is a national user facility for ultrahigh-resolution electron microscopy open to universities and research laboratories. It is operated by Forschungszentrum Jülich and RWTH Aachen University and located on the campus of Forschungszentrum Jülich.

The ER-C houses some of the world's most advanced electron microscopes and tools for high-resolution nanocharacterisation, which are available to external users. During their research, external users are assisted by experienced scientists and technical support staff at the ER-C. They will undertake the operation for you, or help you with the operation of the microscopes and sample preparation, characterization, or data analysis.

Scientific researchers and students are encouraged to submit proposals to the ER-C. Find out more about our equipment and the possibilities of microstructural research by exploring our web site.
