The cross-sectional group Scientific IT and Data Management consists of members of various scientific working groups of the institute. The group is responsible for the operation of the institute's own IT, consisting of the workstation group, the staff laptops and the servers for data storage.
In this context, the cross-sectional group acts as a complement to the central IT services of the research center. In the field of research data management, the group operates its own services for data storage, analysis and publication for the institute and works closely with other institutes in the area of "MeteoCloud".
It also provides web and communication services.
Due to its composition, the cross-sectional group has direct contact persons in almost all scientific groups and acts as an on-site consultant for all problems in the field of IT and software development.
