11 RIPT 2024 Conference

Les Onzièmes Rencontres Internationales de la Projection Thermique (11RIPT), the 11th International European Thermal Spray Conference, co-chaired by Prof. Lech Pawlowski and Prof. Robert Vaßen, took place for the third time in Jülich. The event began with a training course on thermal spray technology with 15 participants. Over the next one and a half days, around 120 participants from 19 different countries attended four parallel sessions with many interesting lectures, many of which were new and innovative. In addition, 25 posters were presented and three were selected by the participants for poster awards (3. Dhruvit Gabani, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, 2. Anna Gibas, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, 1. Ebru Gyoktepeliler Akin, University of Stuttgart). In addition, an exhibition with 7 industrial companies took place. Several events, such as the reception and the conference dinner, both held in Aachen, as well as extensive coffee and lunch breaks, were used intensively for lively discussions or simple exchanges among friends. Finally, there was an optional visit to the Jülich Thermal Spray Centre (JTSC). The next 12RIPT conference is planned for 3-5 June 2026.
