SOFT Innovation Price 2022

Mr.Prof. Vaßen, together with four KIT colleagues, has received the European Commission Prize for the development of a plasma-sprayed, functionally graded Wolfram/EUROFER coating as a protective, large-area, well-adhering layer for the first wall of future fusion power plants. Mr. Vaßen would like to thank his colleagues Karl-Heinz Rauwald and Ralf Laufs for their technical assistance. Congratulations.
