BigBrain Workshop 2024 in Padova
Jülich, September 6, 2024 - This year's BigBrain Workshop entitled “Challenges of Multimodal Data Integration” will take place in Padua from September 9 to 11, 2024. It is organized by the Helmholtz International BigBrain Analytics and Learning Laboratory (HIBALL). The eighth workshop will kick off on 9 September with a full-day “Training Day” organized jointly with Healthy Brains, Healthy Lives (HBHL).
Background: Researchers from McGill University (Montreal) and Forschungszentrum Jülich have developed a 3D model of the human brain in extremely high resolution - the “BigBrain”. The project is funded by the Helmholtz International BigBrain Analytics and Learning Laboratory (HIBALL), led by Katrin Amunts (Director Institute for Structural and Functional Organization of the Brain, INM-1) and Alan Evans (McGill Centre for Integrative Neuroscience (MCIN), McGill University).
Keynote speakers at the 2024 workshop are Maurizio Corbetta (HIBALL Lecture in Brain Analytics and Learning), Michael Thiebaut de Schotten (Sievers Lecture in Computational Neuroscience) and Michael Hawrylycz (BigBrain Project Educational Lecture.

More than 100 participants have already registered for this year's workshop. The presentations will be streamed online and then made available on the BigBrain project website. Registrations are possible until 11 September.
