Successfully completed doctorate

Dennis Scheidt successfully completed his doctorate at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México on August 1, 2024.

His dissertation “Phase conjugation to enhance transmission and focusing of light through turbid media” deals with wavefront correction, which reduces the scattering and diffraction of light as it passes through optically turbid media (e.g. tissue). In his work, Dennis Scheidt has implemented the method of wavefront correction for various spectral representations of light fields and developed fundamental limitations of single-pixel imaging.
