The “Going to Japan” program of Forschungszentrum Jülich makes it possible: Dr. Meiqi Niu (INM-1) will go to the National Institute for Physiological Sciences in Okazaki next year. There, she will be able to work for three months on her project investigating the fronto-parietal network in the brains of macaques. Her supervisor will be Prof. Hiromasa Takemura, Division of Sensory and Cognitive Brain Mapping, Department of System Neuroscience. Niu was presented with the Karl Zilles Award in Integrative Neuroscience at this year's OHBM meeting in Brisbane, Australia.

The “Going to Japan” program is designed to build networks and deepen existing collaborations with Japanese partners. Young scientists at Forschungszentrum Jülich can systematically become acquainted with Japan’s cutting-edge research and cooperative opportunities. Experienced researchers are given the chance to strengthen existing collaborations in a targeted way and initiate new ones.
