Sascha Heußen Wins Quantum Future Award 2024 for Best PhD Thesis
Dr. Sascha Heußen has been awarded the Quantum Future Award 2024 by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in the category “Best PhD Thesis 2024” for his dissertation entitled ‘Applications of Fault-Tolerant Topological Quantum Error Correction in Near-Term Devices’. Colleagues at PGI-2 are delighted to hear of the former PhD student’s success. The Quantum Future Award has been presented each year in recognition of outstanding master's and doctoral theses in the field of applied quantum technologies since 2018.
