In JARA, Forschungszentrum Jülich and RWTH Aachen University pursue excellent basic research in combination with application-oriented research.

RWTH Aachen University and Forschungszentrum Jülich have established a model that is unique in Germany to overcome the insularity of university and non-university research and teaching. Amongst other aspects, our scientists are currently investigating more efficient energy production and
utilization, opening up possibilities for the early diagnosis and treatment of psychological and neurological diseases, developing the physical basis for new memories and processors for computers, and optimizing research and development.
