FAIR to Pedestrian Dynamics Data

For improving the safety of people in large crowds, it is of great importance to understand the basic mechanisms of pedestrian dynamics with help of experiments. IAS-7 openly shares its experimental data since 2005 by an own open access data archive. This project annotates this data in a systematic or semantically harmonized way, which improves FAIRness in general and interoperability specifically. Within this project, a hierarchal extensible metadata schema will be developed to annotate essential information alongside datasets and therefore, enhance its findability and facilitate reusability. Additionally, data structures supporting the interoperability between colleagues and community members will be developed and will assist to make data reutilization more efficient.
