Soil Under Stress: How Drought Alters Soil Processes in Grasslands

An international study led by the University of Innsbruck and involving the Institute of Bio- and Geosciences – Agrosphere at Forschungszentrum Jülich shows how drought, warming and increased CO₂ concentrations in the atmosphere alter the hydrological balance in the soil and challenge the resilience of ecosystems. The results have now been published in the journal Science.
