                Basic Research

IKP-2 is carrying out basic research in experimental hadron and particle physics. It prepares and performs experiments using the on-site synchrotron COSY and joins external activities at other facilities.

                Technical Developments

IKP-2 is continuously improving the methods and detectors currently in use as well as developing new tools and equipment for future research.

                Education

Various members of IKP-2 are offering courses and seminars at RWTH Aachen and at the University of Cologne. IKP-2 also offers the possibility to work on Bachelor, Master and PhD theses.
