Engineering & Design

No two research projects are alike. When highly specialised scientific questions need to be answered, off-the-shelfresearch instruments are often not enough. This is where we come in: the Engineering Design department of thePGI/JCNS-TA, in close cooperation with the institute's own mechanical workshop, manufacture customised devices, components and systems that are as individual as your scientific project.

Our equipment:

Our activities:

  • Development and construction of machines and installations
  • Technical advice
  • Working together with scientists to develop concepts for solutions to scientific questions
  • Preparation of design sketches, CAD models and technical drawings
  • Preparation of design calculations
  • Technical documentation
  • CE certification
  • Production of 3D scans and 3D prints
