In view of a widely positive resonance to the PICO 2012 and PICO 2013 meetings, organisers have resolved to hold a follow-up meeting, the Third Conference on Frontiers of Aberration Corrected Electron Microscopy, in spring 2015. The conference will address recent advances in methods and applications for the study of structural and electronic properties of solids by the application of advanced electron microscopy techniques.

PICO 2015 is scheduled to take place in Kasteel Vaalsbroek located at the border where the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium meet, from 19 to 23 April 2015. Topical issues of advanced electron microscopy research will be highlighted in 42 keynote presentations given by leading invited speakers.

Confirmed speakers include Les Allen (Melbourne), Juri Barthel (Jülich), Philip Batson (Piscataway), Pascale Bayle-Guilleaud (Grenoble), David Bell (Harvard), Nigel Browning (Richland), Ulrich Dahmen (Berkeley (US)), Rafal Dunin-Borkowski (Jülich), Christian Dwyer (Jülich), Max Haider (Heidelberg), Lothar Houben (Jülich), Florent Houdellier (Toulouse), Archie Howie (Cambridge), Martin Hÿtch (Toulouse), Yuichi Ikuhara (Tokyo), Chunlin Jia (Jülich), Jörg Jinschek (Eindhoven), Ute Kaiser (Ulm), Mathieu Kociak (Paris), Helmut Kohl (Münster), Michael Lehmann (Berlin), Axel Lubk (Dresden), Joachim Mayer (Aachen), Jannik Meyer (Vienna), Peter Nellist (Oxford), Noboyuki Osakabe (Tokyo), Steven Pennycook (Knoxville), Velimir Radmilovic (Belgrade), Quentin Ramasse (Daresbury), Harald Rose (Ulm), Frances Ross (Yorktown Heights), Owen Saxton (Cambridge), Rasmus Schröder (Heidelberg), David Smith (Tempe), Sejii Takeda (Osaka), Nobuo Tanaka (Tokyo), Ruud Tromp (Yorktown Heights), Stefan Uhlemann (Heidelberg), Sandra Van Aert (Antwerp), Jo Verbeeck (Antwerp), Nestor Zaluzec (Argonne), and Ze Zhang (Hangzhou).
