      Quantum Information Processing (QIP)

      The research group Quantum Information Processing pursues the goal to investigate by means of highly scalable computer simulations the benefits of quantum over classical processes for applications in quantum computing and quantum annealing.

      The research group Earth System Data Exploration (ESDE) develops innovative methods and tools for the integration and analysis of complex, heterogeneous, and big datasets related to air pollution, weather and climate.

      The research group Computational Materials Science develops methods for simulating and understanding the many-body effects in strongly correlated materials.

      The NIC research group Computational Structural Biology aims at quantitatively understanding the structural and dynamical molecular mechanism of biomolecules in HPC computer simulations.

      This research group develops software for the Modular Supercomputing Architecture (MSA).

      Parallel-in-Time Integration Methods

      This research group works on the design, implementation and optimization of parallel-in-time integration and space-time multilevel methods for HPC systems.
