Location
Jülich Supercomputing Centre, Ausbildungsraum 1, building 16.3, Room 213a

The "Lattice Practices" workshops provide training in state-of-the-art numerical techniques and the use of information technologies for research in lattice QCD (LQCD), aimed at Postdocs, PhD students and other LQCD researchers, who are actively using high performance computing resources for their work.

This year, the Lattice Practices 2015 will take place at Jülich Supercomputing Centre from 14 to 16 October 2015.

Content

Lectures on the following topics are planned:

  • Data analysis (C. Hölbling, Wuppertal U.)
  • Solvers (A. Frommer and K. Kahl, Wuppertal U.)
  • Performance Optimization (G. Koutsou, Cyprus Institute)
  • Computer Architectures (D.Pleiter, JSC/Regensburg U.)
  • Valence techniques (A. Vaquero, INFN)
  • Finite temperature QCD (K. Szabo, JSC/Wuppertal U.)

Workshop fee and accommodation

The costs for accommodation (October 13th-16th), lunch, coffee, and the dinner are covered by the workshop fee of €50.
