This research group works on the design, implementation and optimization of parallel-in-time integration and space-time multilevel methods for HPC systems.
The ATML "Numerical and Statistical Methods" develops, implements, and tests new procedures/methods in the area of stochastic ordinary and partial differential equations that arise, for example, in image processing, acoustic, electromagnetic, and elastic scattering problems, and reaction-diffusion-advection equations.
The focus of the ATML Software Engineering lays on the long-term development of a C++ Fast Multipole library (FMsolvr) and a fine-grained tasking library (Eventify) as well as Continuous Integration for HPC.
