JUPITER racks

JUPITER is a modular Exascale supercomputer operated by Jülich Supercomputing Centre at Forschungszentrum Jülich. It is a joint-undertaking to between EuroHPC JU and the Gauss Centre for Supercomputing to provide a European and national supercomputing resource.

JUPITER currently consists of one module. This first module, deployed in 2025, is the Booster module. The Booster module is GPU-focused and features 5884 Compute nodes with 4 NVIDIA GH200 Grace-Hopper Superchips and 4 NDR infiniband connections on each node.

The second module, JUPITER Cluster, is currently being built up, and will have one partition with 582 nodes with 2 96-core AMD Turin processors per node, and a second partition, to be constructed later, featuring 162 nodes with 2 80-core SiPearl Rhea1 ARM Neoverse processors per node. Both partitions will have 1 NDR infiniband connection per node. The first partition is planned to be available at the end of 2026.
