Networks

The IBG-5 runs the coordination offices of two bioinformatics networks, one at national level (de.NBI) and one at European level (ELIXIR Germany).

de.NBI

The "German Network for Bioinformatics Infrastructure - de.NBI" is a national, distributed, academic infrastructure that provides bioinformatics services such as software, compute resources and training for users in life science and biomedical research in Germany and Europe. The coordination office of the de.NBI is located at IBG-5.

ELIXIR Germany

ELIXIR, the "European Life Science Infrastructure for Biological Information", is an international ESFRI research infrastructure that pools life science resources from all over Europe. ELIXIR Germany has been the national German node of this European network since 2016 and is constituted by the members of the de.NBI network. ELIXIR-Germany is also coordinated by IBG-5.
