2nd place at the HITEC Communicator Award 2022

At the HITEC Communicator Award 2022, Markus Geldenhuys won second place with his presentation "The southern Andes: A natural laboratory to study atmospheric gravity waves".
In his PhD, which he defended on 07/07/2022, he investigates atmospheric gravity waves measured during the international aircraft campaign SouthTrac based in Rio-Grande, Tierra del Fuego.
The analyses were made possible by a unique combination of infrared limbimager (GLORIA / FZJ, KIT) and lidar (ALIMA / DLR).
