Best Poster Award 3rd Prize in SPP2080 3rd Status Meeting
At the final status meeting of the SPP2080 project, held at KIT Karlsruhe from March 31 to April 2, 2025, our team showed three years of research on perovskite oxide catalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Highlighting our findings through a poster presentation entitled “Dynamic and Static Degradation of Perovskite Oxide Catalysts”, we demonstrated the application of in-operando atomic force microscopy (AFM) to distinguish between electrochemical degradation mechanisms under different conditions.
The study focused on contrasting dynamic degradation, evaluated under cyclic voltammetry, with static degradation assessed during chronoamperometric experiments. These observations not only deepen fundamental understanding of the degradation processes but also pave the way for enhancing the durability and design of perovskite-based catalysts. The significance of these findings was recognized by the awarding of the Best Poster Award 3rd Prize at the meeting, marking a notable achievement in the field and highlighting the impact of combining advanced AFM techniques with electrochemistry.
