Focus Topics at IET-1
Our Research
Energy plays a role everywhere in our lives. From electricity, heat, and mobility to transport, production, and industry, a comprehensive energy transition requires saying goodbye to carbon-based energy sources (decarbonization) or at least fossil hydrocarbons (defossilization) in all areas. The complexity of the challenge also requires a complex variety of solutions to meet the different requirements of the different sectors and areas of application. In order to find the optimal solution for each application, we look at a variety of possible solutions, from lithium-ion batteries, green hydrogen production, and fuel cells to metal-air batteries and a sustainable carbon cycle.
