Umbrella Award for Davis Thomas Daniel
At the 37th Umbrella Symposium, Davis Thomas Daniel, chemist at IET-1 at Forschungszentrum Jülich, was presented with the prestigious Umbrella Award. He received the award for his scientific contribution “Enabling sustainable batteries: Insights from magnetic resonance spectroscopy and machine learning-driven simulations”. Daniel's research at the Institute for Fundamentals of Electrochemistry (IET-1) focuses on a deeper understanding of the functioning of energy materials. Congratulations to him!

In addition to Davis Thomas Daniel, Razi Epsztein from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and Weihan Li from RWTH Aachen University also received an Umbrella Award for their research work.
This year's Umbrella Symposium took place from September 23 to 25, 2024 at Forschungszentrum Jülich. Scientists from Germany and Israel discussed materials and technologies for the energy transition in seven sessions. A lab tour of Forschungszentrum Jülich's energy institutes also offered practical insights into current research projects.
