Functional Additives Enable Fast Charging of Solid-State Batteries
Functional polymer additives enable fast charging and high energy densities in polymer-based solid-state batteries – an important step toward practical high-performance SSBs.
Helmholtz Institute Münster (HI MS; IMD-4) with the official designation "Ionics in Energy Storage" was founded by Forschungszentrum Jülich, the University of Münster and RWTH Aachen University in 2014. It was assigned to the Institute of Energy and Climate Research (IEK) at Forschungszentrum Jülich until 30 June 2024 and has been part of the newly founded Institute of Energy Materials and Devices (IMD) since 1 July 2024.
The international and interdisciplinary team of HI MS explores new battery technologies based on innovative electrolytes.
