INM-4 researcher, Dr Philipp Lohmann, has co-authored two recent guideline papers in the Lancet Oncology on AI applications in neuro-oncology as part of the AI-RANO working group.

These publications provide a roadmap for standardising and validating AI in diagnosing and monitoring central nervous system tumours. Emphasising the need for multi-institutional collaboration and open data-sharing to enhance AI reproducibility, these guidelines aim to bring AI integration in neuro-oncology closer to clinical use, supporting better diagnostic and prognostic capabilities in patient care.
