The staff of the Administrative Infrastructure division supports the scientific divisions and the directorate of JSC in all questions and aspects that are beyond their research activities within the Helmholtz Research Field "Information" and an increasing number of third-party funded projects.

The wide variety of tasks includes the personnel and financial administration, as well as procurement. The JSC currently consists of around 400 staff members and PhD students, as well as visiting researchers, student assistants and MATSE trainees.

The management and monitoring of more than 100 third-party funded projects, as well as support for strategic projects and development planning, are also part of the diverse portfolio of responsibilities.
