Start
2nd March 2026 11:00 AM
End
6th March 2026 01:00 PM
Location
Jülich Supercomputing Centre, building 16.4, room 301 (Rotunda)

This workshop will take place as an on-site event at JSC. It will be held in English.

Workshop Content:

The Lattice Practices Workshop provides training in state-of-the-art numerical techniques and the use of information technologies for research in lattice QCD (LQCD), aimed at Postdocs, PhD students and other LQCD researchers, who actively use high performance computing for their work.

Lectures and exercises on the following topics are planned:

  • Lattice data analysis --- Christian Hölbling (University of Wuppertal)
  • Solver algorithms --- Gustavo Ramirez Hidalgo (JSC)
  • Correlation function calculation --- John Bulava (Ruhr University Bochum)
  • Machine learning for LFT --- Alessandro Nada (University of Turin)
  • Spectral reconstruction and applications --- Alessandro De Santis (Helmholtz Institute Mainz)
  • Using the International Lattice Data Grid --- Giannis Koutsou (Cyprus Institute) & Giovanni Pederiva (JSC)
  • Gradient Flow and applications --- Robert Harlander (RWTH Aachen University)

Coffee breaks and lunch will be provided. There is no registration fee; however, only a limited number of seats are available.

Further information on the workshop schedule, travel and accommodation options and on how to access to the campus of Forschungszentrum Jülich can be found here.
