JSC@Supercomputing Conference SC25
SC25, the leading international exhibition and conference on high-performance computing, networking, storage, and analysis, will take place from 16 to 21 November 2025 in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. JSC together with its partners from the Modular Supercomputing and Quantum Computing research group of the Goethe-University Frankfurt will present their diverse range of activities at JSC’s booth #505.
Unleashing Next-Gen Computing Power
This year, the Jülich Supercomputing Centre will be on site with 23 colleagues. The JSC will be presenting itself with its exhibition booth under the slogan “Unleashing Next-Gen Computing Power”. In addition to the topics “HPC(Tools)”, “Quantum Computing”, “Artificial Intelligence” and our European projects and collaborations, the focus will be on Europe's first exascale system JUPITER, which had entered the Top500 list in June 2025.
We are looking forward to welcoming you at our booth to show you what JSC is up to in the field of supercomputing and quantum computing. We are also pleased to give visitors to our booth the opportunity to live code our D-Wave Advantage™ System JUPSI via JUNIQ (Jülich UNified Infrastructure for Quantum computing). Our partners from the Goethe-University Frankfurt will present research and development in the area of hybrid algorithms for modular supercomputing and quantum computing.
At the events of the exhibition, JSC will present its achievements and plans in several EU-funded projects. This year's application focus is on artificial intelligence, with news and success stories on JSC's strategy and support in HPC for AI. In addition, both in-house HPC tools like LLview, JUBE, and Scalasca as well as JSC's support infrastructure will be demonstrated.
Particular highlights at SC25 will be the HPC Ignites Plenary Talk by Kristel Michielsen on "Why Should I Care About Quantum Computing?" on Monday, November 17th, from 5:30pm - 6:45pm, in America's Ballroom, and a talk by Andreas Herten and Mathis Bode about "Computing the Full Earth System at 1km Resolution" as one of the ACM Gordon Bell Climate Modeling finalists on Tuesday, November 18th, from 4:14pm - 4:36pm in room 261-262-265-266.
Beyond that, the JSC is also involved in six workshops, five Birds of Feather, one panel, one tutorial and one talk at the Exhibitor Forum. Our colleagues Cristina Manzano (Session Lead) and Anna Lührs have co-organised the Super(computing)heroes BoF on Wednesday, which was already a success at two ISCs and SC24.
