LOHC-One-Reactor

In this demonstrator, seasonal stationary hydrogen storage using LOHC technology (liquid organic hydrogen carrier) is investigated. In LOHC technology, hydrogen is stored by a reversible reaction of the hydrogen with the LOHC compound. This allows hydrogen to be stored in an oil-like liquid without any special pressure or temperature requirements. The demonstrator represents a prototype at a power level of 300 kW (H2), which is unique in the world to date, and is connected to the electrolysis system, hydrogen pipeline and our campus heat supply system
