                                          Research

The LLEC contains a number of different self-contained yet closely networked research projects, each with its own thematic focus. This enables the exploration of multiple research questions in the respective fields. For a comprehensive treatment of the project topics dealt with in the LLEC, we work together with a variety of national and international cooperation partners.

                                          Photovoltaics

Photovoltaics, as a renewable energy source and due to its high integrability, is the main carrier in the LLEC power grid.

                                          Battery Storage Systems

In the LLEC, two large stationary battery systems are integrated into the decentralized energy system. In addition, the sub-project "LLEC::VxG" enables electric vehicles to be used as buffer storage.

                                          Engagement and Dissemination

Users play a key role in the LLEC energy system. For the transfer of knowledge, we develop didactic concepts and establish networks of actors from society, industry and politics.

                                          Hydrogen

The hydrogen research area is divided into the three areas of hydrogen production, storage, and safety.

                                          Intelligent Control Platform

Due to the increasing complexity of future energy systems, intelligent control is necessary to make the best possible use of existing resources.
